Major developments in 2025 are focused around several key areas: the Takapuna Central site, the Colmore development near Hurstmere Beach, and the old Gasometer site on Auburn Street.
Key Takapuna Developments:
Takapuna Central Apartments: Located at 40 Anzac Street, this 106-unit apartment development is part of a larger scheme beside the cinema.
Colmore Development: This project, spanning sites at 21, 31, and 33-45 Hurstmere Rd and 6-10 the Strand, will include four tower blocks, ground-floor commercial activities, and basement parking.
Gasometer Site: A 350-apartment build-to-rent complex is planned on the old Gasometer site on Auburn Street, awaiting resource consent.
These developments, along with the Takapuna Centre Plan, aim to revitalize the area and enhance its status as a vibrant urban centre.
