Three Stylish "mum-uniform" Ideas

Article by Caitlin Taylor

School holidays. Hands up if you're having fun haha!

Luckily my little one is small enough to still be in daycare, so I don't have to worry about that yet. But I have plenty of friends with the extra craziness of school holidays this week!

These few weeks are extra-manic I bet, so the last thing you want to have to do is think too long about what to wear every morning right? Your time is precious as it is, let alone when you have school-holiday outtings etc to plan!

So I thought I'd try and make things a little easier for you, and help you out with three "mum-uniform" outfits that are stylish, comfortable and SUPER-low maintenance. You can just throw these looks on and spend all your precious time and energy on your kids!

LOOK #1 - HANGING AT HOME

I know school holidays are packed with activities, but some days are home days too right? This is the perfect "hanging at home with the kids, but still look and feel good if I need to pop out for coffee" look...

LOOK #2 - HEADING OUT

Planned a movie day? Or heading to the park? Or even a playdate with friends. You want to look fab, but also be comfortable and able to run around with the kids too yes?

An easy-wear dress, with some flat shoes and comfortable jacket should do the trick! Have fun with a simple print-clash (stripes + florals always the way to go).

LOOK #3 - Work AND Play

Are you doing the school holiday juggle? Maybe you're heading to work in the morning, then hanging with the kids in the afternoon so you'll want a look that can pull double duty right?

These pants are the ultimate working-mum pant! They are smart enough for work, but causal and comfortable enough to wear casually too. Team them with a funky blouse and some flat, but stylish shoes and you've got a comfortable, yet sophisticated look that means you're not having to change your clothes 10 times a day...
