CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION AND ADVICE
Following the Government's announcement that Auckland will enter the new red light protocol at 11.59pm on Thursday 02 December, all Shore City’s stores will be open from Friday 03 December and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back.
We expect that all of our Stores will be open under red light. If you want to know if a particular store is open, please give them a call, you’ll find their phone number on our store directory.
The standard trading hours of the Centre will continue
New World Metro’s hours will be 7am to 8pm every day except Thursday which will be 7am to 9pm.
We expect that most stores will be opening for the full Centre hours but if you’re coming for a particular store please give them a call to check, you’ll find their phone number on the store directory.
The offfical record for a person's Covid-19 vaccination station in New Zealand is my Vaccine Pass. As per the Govenrment's guidelines, a Vaccine Pass is not required to access essential services such as New World Metro and Life Pharmacy at Shore City. Because of this, entry to Shore City will not require a vaccine pass.
Those businesses who are required to scan the Vaccine Pass will do so on entry into their store. They may also require to see your ID to ensure that it is your Vaccine Pass.
Vaccine Passes are only required for customers over the age of 12.
We expect that all Shore City stores will be open under red light. However how they operate will depend on what type of business they are.
For retail stores, they are not required to view Vaccine Passes for entry into their Store but individual stores may chose to.
Cafes can have up to 100 customers with 1 metre physical distancing as long as Vacine Passes are required. If they don't use My Vaccine Pass they can only offer contactless pick up or delivery.
Close Contact businesses such as nail salons, massage and hair dressers, and gyms are able to open with the use of Vaccine Passes and public health requirements in place.
The Play Area will be closed.
Face Masks and QR Codes
You must legally wear a face covering when you are in the Centre and within the Stores.
The NZ Covid Tracer QR Code is displayed at all entrances, bathrooms, Customer Services on Level 2 and in the Centre Management Office. If you are unable to scan in, the manual sign in is located at Customer Services on Level 2.
Please ensure that you sign into the Centre and any stores that you are entering.
While we are operating under the Red Light protocol, the number of people at one time in Shore City will be monitored and if required limited in line with the New Zealand Government regulations.
If the Centre is nearing capacity then entrances may need to be closed and a one in one out system employed until numbers decrease. If this occurs please follow the directions of our team.
Customer Service Desk
We have installed a safety screen at Customer Services. Please keep 1 metre distance from any other customer.
Gift cards will be available for purchase from the customer service desk using our contactless eftpos system.
We’re following the government social distancing guidelines and you’ll see signage throughout the centre to remind shoppers to keep 2 metres from other customers.
Wheelchairs are available for hire and will be cleaned between uses. However prams and kiddie rides are not available under red light.
Stores may need to manage the numbers of customers entering their store so they don’t exceed their capacity.
If you are required to queue outside a store we ask that you queue parallel to the store front and keep walkways as clear as possible. Please follow the directions of the store team.
